Tracton Community Market – 2nd Birthday Celebrations – You Are invited!
On Sunday May 7th Tracton Community Market is celebrating its second birthday and invites everyone to join them at Tracton Arts and Community Centre from 11am to 1pm. With a focus on family fun, the party will have kids’ entertainment, including a movie showing on the big screen, face-painting and more, all for free. Also on the day the Market Tea Rooms will be open, serving freshly ground coffee, Barry’s tea and, of course, Anna Marie’s great home baking. It is really lovely to see groups of friends, families and neighbours get together and enjoy a cuppa overlooking the beautiful valley views.
The market itself has developed into a colourful affair, with a raft of local producers presenting tied bunches of fresh flowers, handmade fairy doors, Driftwood craft, whiskey marmalade and apple trees to name just a few. These new additions sit very well alongside the established stall holders offering vegetables, potatoes, brown bread, pate, plants, jams etc. and for those with special dietary requirements there was a wide selection from sugar to gluten free and even protein balls for those looking to build on their diet.
Outside the pizza oven sends the beautiful smell of wood fired pizza to tempt us all, families come along for lunch with the special treat for the children and teenagers to make their own!
So why not join their celebrations on May 7th, (and the first Sunday of every month), from 11am to 1pm, at the Tracton Community Centre to catch up with friends old and new, and sample some great local produce.
