Ballinhassig Camogie Club Fancy Dress Céilí
In what turned out to be a fantastic night of song, dance and laughter. Every costume from that era was on the floor in all designs and colours. During the course of the night a presentation was made to the oldest man living in the parish, Denis Bernard all of 90 years and the oldest woman Mary Hurley all of 97 years, whose nephew Dan received it on her behalf. Also, there was a fantastic exhibition of local Irish dancing from the Harrington school of dancing under the guidance of Claire and Janice. A lovely cup of tea with loads of home baking was enjoyed by all, courtesy of all the fine bakers in the parish. A huge thank you to all who sponsored the raffle and spot prizes. All monies raised are going to Ballinhassig SVP and Cork Penny Dinners, two very deserving charities. Finally a huge thanks to all the Ballinhassig Camogie Club for all the work they put in to make the night such a huge success.
