Prom dresses and suits were the order of the day as the students ascended into Fernhill being a ‘practise run’ for their Leaving Certificate Debs in a couple of years time. The event was planned by the students themselves and gave them an opportunity to unwind on what has been a very busy year before they head into the Leaving Certificate syllabus. During the evening Edward and Becky O’Shea were pronounced as ‘Prom King and Queen’ and were duly ‘crowned’ on stage by Year Head Pat Looney with a bouquet of flowers presented to Grace McGrath for her assistance in organising the event. The Prom Night raised funds for Aware and the nearby Carrigaline Lions Club Youth Centre as the students danced until midnight with music from DJ Kevin Foley.
