We feel so lucky that we get to look at the sea from our office every day said the owners of Fountainstowns newest coffee truck, Busy Brew Writes Tara Maher
Swimmers, walkers, and locals are spoilt for choice as Busy Brew is the latest coffee trailer to open up shop on Fountainstowns bustling beachfront.
The Busy Brew opens from 8 am until 5.30 pm daily, with a selection of coffee, cookies, brownies with biscoff and peanut protein balls also on offer. €1 Puppuccino’s are also on the menu for its canine customers.
Busy Brew is run by Carrigaline man Sean Cooke and his girlfriend, Cora Loughnane who is originally from Thurles.
Sean, who worked as a PT had been humming and hawing at the thought of opening his coffee truck for some time, and at the beginning of this year, he bit the bullet and got to work. From sourcing a trailer to branding, the whole process has taken around five months. “It has always been a goal of mine. It's been a rollercoaster of a journey but it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done,” Sean said in a recent interview.
A self-proclaimed coffee lover, Sean spent months taste-testing wholesalers of coffee for months before finally deciding on Soma. Not only was great quality coffee important to him but he also wanted to keep things local and SOMA ticked both boxes. “It’s a very well-known Cork-owned coffee company and it has a huge reputation for serving great coffee.
From the feedback we’ve received from our customers so far, choosing to go with Soma Coffee has been the right choice. It has given us confidence in knowing that every cup of coffee we serve will satisfy our customers. This was always our number one priority when starting up the business.”
