Cogan’s Toyota, Cork received the prestigious Ichiban award along with 47 fellow European retailers at a ceremony held at Schloss Elmau in the German Alps.
Cork Toyota dealership, Cogan’s in Carrigaline, were the only Irish retailer recognised amongst 47 fellow award-winning retailers for providing outstanding customer service. The 2022 Ichiban which means “Number One” in Japanese puts a spotlight on high levels of retailer innovation during crises to maintain the most memorable experience.
Over 2,500 European Toyota Retailers compete for this award annually and the winners are those who excelled in demonstrating a unique approach and a commitment to become the “Best Retailer in Town”.

During the ceremony Matt Harrison, President and CEO of Toyota Motor Europe recognised all retailers for their outstanding achievements and commendable efforts to provide best in class customer service. The Ichiban winners were congratulated for their energy, dedication, and passion for going above and beyond in providing an unrivalled customer experience.
Cogans is a 3rd generation family-run Toyota Dealership, established by Robert A. Cogan in 1936. That same year Toyota produced its first passenger car, the Toyota AA.
The Cogan family is very proud of their association with Toyota Ireland since their introduction in 1973 which makes this award even more special. In that time Cogans Toyota has grown to a large base of loyal customers some of which are 3rd generation who keep coming back time and again.
