Carrigaline woman looking for Grá ar an Trá

‘Grá ar an Trá’ is Ireland’s answer to Love Island, and is already a big hit among viewers.

The show is hosted by influencer James Kavanagh and Síomha Ní Ruairc who are the Fear and Bean and Tí of the villa (villa being a generous term) respectively. Similar to Love Island, the show begins with ten contestants who are looking for love and the chance to win a share of €10,000.

But, focail up there is a catch.

In each couple there is a Gaeilgeor (fluent Irish speaker) and a Foghlaimeor and the aim of the game is to improve the Foghlaimeor level of Gailge.

The couples will be watch closely by Cinnire Grá’, or the ‘Captain of Love’, Gráinne Seoige. She will be keeping a watchful eye on the contestants to see which couples get a “blas for Gaeilge and love too!”.

The winning couple will be crowned “Couple with the most Focail" and go home with the prize money.

The first episode aired on Monday night and as it came to an end, the final couple was introduced and featured Carrigaline’s Talia Murphy.

You can watch Grá ar an Trá on Monday Nights on Virgin Media to see how Talia and her fellow contestants get on.
