Cllr Seamus McGrath Gives Updates On Carrigaline Projects

Cllr. Seamus McGrath has given updates on two important projects in Carrigaline.

He has said that the contractors are now on site for the construction of the Carrigaline Inner Western Relief Road. He said, “The construction phase of the relief road has finally commenced with the contractor mobilising on site. Construction is due to kick off fully this week. Construction is expected to take 18 months.

Please note that the road adjacent to the Soccer Club is now part of the construction site so access is restricted. I’ll keep you fully updated on the project as it progresses.”

Secondly, on the issue of a Public Toilet in Carrigaline Community Park, Cllr McGrath has said, “I’m pleased to see work recommence on the provision of a new ‘ family friendly’ public toilet adjacent to the playground in the Community Park. I proposed the provision of a toilet in the Community Park over two years ago in a motion and it’s great to finally see it happening. “

He continued, “The Park is now a hive of activity and a great amenity in the area. A public toilet facility was badly needed and thanks to the Council Engineer for following up. As an aside, I’m seeking an update on the Running Track and I hope we can complete this project very soon.”
