Covid-19 Vaccinations Carrigaline

Carrigaline Notes

Writes Barry Cogan

The second batch of the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine arrived in Carrigaline last Tuesday and the over 80s were vaccinated. Bridge House which is located in the Primary Care Centre at Kilnagleary had a team of 15 running the vaccine clinic in military-style.

They had a team of five doctors, four nurses and six administration staff running the operation smoothly. The over 80s were met outside the door booked in and guided individually to a waiting doctor or nurse to receive their vaccine.

People had to rest for observation for a short while afterwards. There was no waiting and no delays as all were booked in at specific times. Other doctors are operating different schedules. Carrigaline has over 20 doctors and six pharmacies.
