Crosshaven RFC News Writes Jack White The J1’s closed their league campaign away to Killarney on Saturday evening. Having secured promotion the week previous, Crosshaven were looking to end the season on a high but Killarney had other plans, defeating Crosshaven 17-13. The J3’s won their league on Saturday afternoon in Myrtleville Cross, with a 31-5 bonus point win over Muskerry. Needing the bonus point to win the title, Crosshaven had a very dominant first half and despite a quite second half, the home side finished well, running in five tries in total. There were some fine performances across the team with special mention going to u18 player Chris Murray who excelled in his first adult game for the club. Thanks goes to coach Moss Barry Jnr and physio, Mick O’Brien. Thank you to our neighbouring clubs, Crosshaven AFC, Crosshaven GAA and local schools Colaiste Muire and Crosshaven Boys School for their support in recent weeks and months in facilitating us to train on their facilities due to bad weather and issues with our flood lights. Stay tuned to the club facebook page for fixture updates.
