Now, as we approach the end of what has been an extraordinarily difficult year, we wish each and every one of you a Happy Christmas. We hope you enjoy it in whatever form you can and hope everyone stays safe.
Tempting as it may be to socialise over the next few days, let’s all keep asking the question of ourselves, is it really necessary? Can we get an honest answer from ourselves as individuals to help the nurses, hospitals and care staff who are battling the virus on the front line with our most vulnerable. The vaccine is on the way, the cavalry is coming, let’s not get shot in the final days and weeks of this war.
Difficult though this year has been for us all, there have been some rays of hope too with the extraordinary leadership shown by charities, volunteers, politicians, clubs, organisations and businesses in all of the communities across The Carrigdhoun region.
Let’s look to this spirit to see what we can all contribute for the festive season and beyond, into the new year.
Finally, all of us at The Carrigdhoun Newspaper would like to thank everyone who has supported us this year. It is truly appreciated.
