If you ever wanted to work as a firefighter, this could be your chance thanks to Cork County Council.
The County Council are currently hiring a number of Retained Firefighters for all across Cork, with Carrigaline and Kinsale included.
The successful candidates will be required to fill permanent and temporary vacancies or work part time in their local station.
Pay starts at €8,033 for the first two years service and will rise to €10,010 after ten years service.
Retained Fire-fighters must be available for duty at all times except with the special permission of the Station Officer, which will be given only in circumstances which will permit of an adequate crew being available at all times, including Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
Positions are also being hired in Fermoy, Clonakilty, Millstreet, Bantry, Mallow, Bandon, and Mitchelstown.
