First International Women’s Day Festival Coming To Kinsale
March 8th 2020.
The first festival of its kind in Kinsale, and indeed in Cork. There will be a full programme of talks and workshops centred around women’s health and wellbeing and a marketplace of women business owners.
Organised by women, for women. Showcasing talented women in all areas of health and wellbeing, including self care and emotional health. From Kinsale and beyond. Podcast episodes available with interviews with Key speakers.
Trident Hotel, Kinsale are hosting the event. The event will be held in 4 rooms, one large marketplace and social area and 3 talk/workshop spaces with the themes THINK, MOVE and FEEL. The marketplace will also hold panel discussions on “How do I choose support for my health?”, “Parenting teenagers, Help!” and “How do I turn my passion into a business?” There will also be free treatments, demonstrations and discounts on the day.
8th March 2020, Tickets (€45) are on sale with a “buy one get one half price” and “buy 4 for €120” offers available. The event will run from 11-5pm with participating local businesses also running promotions for ticket holders on the day. International Women's Day (IWD), March 8th 2020, is now widely celebrated around the world. It's a great day for inspiration and celebration of women and all their achievements, to raise awareness and to talk about factors surrounding life as a woman in today's world.
Profits of the event are being donated to Kinsale Youth Support Sevices (KYSS), Cork ARC Cancer Support House and Cuanlee Refuge in Cork.
This event is aiming to be a zero waste event.
The theme of this years IWD is #EachforEqual. We will use this theme to highlight that every woman is supported and cared for within the community #yourcareisselfcare #IWDFkinsale
