Friends Amigo’s Annual 45 Charity Card Drive Raises 12k For Marymount

Friends Amigo’s Jack Griffin and Pat “Patcheen” Lordan organised the annual 45 charity card drive in the Stable Bar, Carrigaline recently.

The event, which is in its 5th year, raised an amazing €12,081.17 for Marymount, to honour friends who had passed away in the wonderful care of the hospice.

Jack and Patcheen, along with Pat Murray, Dan Twomey, Chris O’Callaghan and Ger Harrington presented a cheque to Enid Conway from Marymount, and thanked everyone who supported the event for their generosity, from local businesses who provided spot prizes, and to the 100 card players that took part.

They thanked Pat Murray, owner of The Stable Bar for the use of the bar along with Gordon O’Callaghan and all the bar staff who worked on the night.

Gratitude was also expressed to Dan Twomey of Cork Builders Providers, the main sponsor of the event and to Ger Harrington, who was the MC on the night, and made sure everything ran smoothly.

Jack and Patcheen are looking forward to seeing everyone again next year, in what is to be a bigger and better event.
