Katies Pretty Paws opened in December 2020 at the Kilnaglery Industrial Estate in Carrigaline and owner Katie Murphy says “I’m happy to say it has been thriving ever since.”
Here Katie tells us her story so far.
“I started grooming when I was 15 in a grooming salon, first as a bather and then worked my way up to learn all about the different aspects of grooming. I have 4 years’ experience, working previously in two grooming parlours, one of which I was the sole groomer for a number of months. I was also a teacher's aid in Creedons College in Togher for 3 months helping to train the grooming students in the college.”
“I feel that giving a dog as stress free an environment as possible is vital for them to feel safe and comfortable while being groomed which is why I work on a one to one basis with dogs so each of my dog clients gets my full care and attention at all times”.
“I am QQI certified in Dog Grooming and I am also trained in Canine First Aid and CPR. I’ve done many extra grooming courses and webinars to further my knowledge of dog grooming.”
I offer Full grooms, wash and dry, or even just a tidy around the face and nail trimmings for all sizes of dogs.
