Kinsale Bay Food Company Launch New Bord Bia Packaging
The Kinsale Bay Food Company hot on the heels of winning 3 coveted awards at the Free From Food Awards in May, have launched their new Bord Bia packaging design with Martin Shanahan at the helm.
From humble beginnings in 2008 selling various gluten-free products at the Kinsale town market, Kinsale Bay Food Company are now selling their gluten-free range to SuperValu, Centra, Tesco and Artisan stores nationwide. Using the freshest locally sourced ingredients, they are committed to producing their innovative gluten free products to the highest standard in their gluten free facility in Little Island, Cork. Their mission is to make wholesome gluten-free ready to eat food with a quality taste and their range includes soups, chowder, fish pie, cottage pie, shepherd’s pie, & pâtés.
The company have been working with Bord Bia over the last 12 months on their new packaging design and are grateful for their guidance and support. They are delighted that renowned chef and restaurateur Martin Shanahan of Fishy Fishy, Kinsale launched the new packaging in Kinsale, a place that is held dearly to all at Kinsale Bay as this is where Kinsale Bay Food Company was founded. Speaking about the new packaging launch, Jim O’Mahony, owner of Kinsale Bay stated: “It is fitting that we launch our new packaging design in Kinsale where the company originated and in particular at SuperValu Kinsale who have been honoured themselves as Store of the Year 2017. We thank both owner Michael Smith and manager Dwayne Hunt for their continued support and being the first SuperValu store to have our range of products and new design on shelf. We are also honoured that Martin Shanahan of Fishy Fish and Kinsale fame saw fitting to work with us on our launch”
The company is no stranger to awards and over the years the company have won Great Taste Awards, Blas na hEireann awards, Irish Quality Food Awards, and most recently 3 awards at the Free From Food Awards. The company’s vision is to develop the brand in the Irish market through producing more gluten free products and the winning of more coveted food awards which will be based on quality and taste.
