Very necessary remedial work needs to be done on the Belfry of Shanbally Church which will include the replacement and installation of new electronic bell units. The bells have been silent, so let them ring out again.

THE TEST OF TIME

The little Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary has surely stood the test of time having opened for its worshipers in 1819, it still prevails after 205 years. This, of course is due to the local people and patrons and it is now one of the oldest functioning churches in the Dioceses of Cork. A job of work needs to be done and in keeping with tradition local volunteers are at hand to see it through.

SHANBALLY DIASPORA

Over many years many people moved from Shanbally but have retained their connection and affinity with their little Church where they received the Sacraments. The appeal is extended to them too and no doubt their goodwill will still prevails. Naturally any other people who wish to donate will be welcome and appreciated.
