The IPB Pride of Place awards were established to promote and celebrate the best in community development. The awards recognise the selfless efforts of people in making their local neighbourhoods better places to live, work and socialise.

The Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr. Mary Linehan Foley, extends her best wishes to all five nominated groups, saying, “This is a remarkable achievement for these communities. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their outstanding contribution within their local communities and the positive impact this has had on the wider community. I wish them the very best of luck in the IPB Pride of Place Judging 2025.”

The winners of the IPB Pride of Place will be announced at an Awards Ceremony in November 2025 which takes place in Limerick. Cork County Council would like to take this opportunity to congratulate everyone on their wonderful achievements and valued contributions to their communities and to wish all the nominated groups the very best of luck in the competition.

Other Cork groups nominated include Cobh Tourism Committee, The Mourneabbey Community Council and The Mizen Committee.
