Passage Ladies Football Club Medal Presentation Writes Howard Crowdy The GAA clubhouse at Manning Park was the venue last weekend for the presentation of medals to the Passage Ladies football club who won the County U14 championship title last season. Club Chairperson Elaine McCarthy remarked that it was a wonderful achievement for the team who had a three-point advantage over Keelnameela in the final in Ballinlough and was well deserved for the team and management for their hard work and dedication last season. Passage lost to Ballinora in the final back in 2014, and although Ballinora also won the league last season, it was their great rival Passage who took the honours in the championship after defeating them in a classic semi final clash. Grateful thanks were expressed to, not only the players, coaches and management team, but to the parents and sponsor Joe Hayden for their continual support and assistance. Special mention was given to Emer Sheehan and Winnie Parata who were part of the Cork U14 team last season, with Erin McEveney and Rachel Sheehan on the U16 team this year with Rachel also being part of the U14 team in 2015. Medals were presented to each of the players on the panel by club president Ned Harrington, with coach Fabrice Roussel and Francis McEveney giving a brief resume on each player and match account during the evening.
