Sustainability Content Creator visit Carrigaline Tidy Towns in collaboration with Supervalu

Sustainability Content Creator, Shannen Healy or _greengal to her Instagram followers recently visited Carrigaline Tidy Towns in collaboration with Barry Collin’s Supervalu.


Shannen along with some of the Carrigaline Tidy Towns volunteers took a trip around Carrigaline to look at the amazing initiatives that the Tidy Towns have implemented, such as aiding biodiversity, education around climate action and horticulture and ensuring pollution and litter is cleaned up.

During Shannen's visit, she visited Potters Corner where Frank & Honest coffee grounds are being used to make rich compost in the flower bed. She then made her way through the polytunnel where fresh fruit and vegetables are being grown by volunteers, some of which have been involved in the organisation for over 25 years. Shannen is deeply passionate about sustainability and looking after our planet for many years now. Three years ago, she returned to University and completed a degree in Sustainability. She is currently work as a Project Manager in the Renewable Energy Industry, helping Dublin transition to a low carbon society.


In her spare time she runs an Instagram and Tik Tok account which she has dedicated to educating others and spread awareness around every day sustainability decisions we can make as individuals.
