The Carrigaline Lions Club Cycle Classic 2024 takes place on Saturday, 28th September at 10am sharp, with registration open at 9am.
The Cycle follows the general route of the Bandon and South Coast Railway which closed in 1961. The event is now in its 33rd year and has raised over €750,000 for various charities during that period with much of the proceeds going to our principal benefactor, Marymount Hospice, Childhood Cancer Ireland and other Lions Club charities.
The cycle is a one-day event with distance options of 50km and 100km
Starting and finishing at Carrigaline Lions Youth Centre
Starting time 10am (Check-in open from 9am)
100km Route: Carrigaline – Innishannon – Kinsale – Carrigaline

This cycling event was started in 1991 and has so far raised €750,000 for various charities. Not bad for a fun event! Worthy beneficiaries include Marymount Hospice, ARC Cancer Support, Cork University Hospital, Carrigaline Senior Citizens and the Lions Youth Centre Project which opened in 2015 on Church Road in Carrigaline.
President of The Lions Club, Anita Curtin said " We are all looking forward to this years event. It is a great day out to raises funds for some fantastic charities and organisations."
