As the Beamish Leagues have swung into action, the local clubs are again making their mark in what are competitive leagues.
Carrigaline’s top side will be happy with their opening efforts, having returned to the top table in 2025.
Having seen off the challenge of Mary’s and Mayfield, and earning two draws against Midleton and Rockmount, a defeat to the students of UCC sees them sharing top spot.
At the other end of the league, in the Beamish Stout Munster Junior 4th Division, it’s Kinsale that are leading the local pack on 12 points, followed by Crosshaven A on 9 points, as Carrigaline, Ballinhassig, and Passage battle it out at the bottom of the table.
The Junior Division 3 has Passage in mid-table, six points from four games.
In the Junior 2 League, Carrigaline sit pretty, as Innishvilla have two points from four.
At the top of the Premier Junior, Carrigaline and Ringmahon are neck and neck on nine points each.
In the upper echelons of the leagues, Ballinhassig, Passage, and Kinsale are only separated by a couple of points in Division Two of the senior competition.
In the First Division, Passage will be delighted with their 12-point haul as they share the lead with Douglas Hall.
Recent Results:
Senior Division 2: Crosshaven 3 Carrigtwohill 4; Macroom 2 Kinsale 2; Fermoy 1 Ballinhassig 0.
Junior Division 2: Ballincollig 1 Innishvilla 0.
