Belgooly Summer Festival Set to Bring Four Days of Fun to the Village

Belgooly Summer Festival 2026 will bring a packed programme of family entertainment, sport, music and community events to the village this August.

The Belgooly Summer Festival is set to take place from August 13th to 16th, 2026, with a wide range of activities planned throughout the festival. Events will take place across Belgooly, with the Belgooly GAA Grounds hosting many of the main attractions.

The festival programme gets underway with a Vintage Car Run at 2pm on Sunday 9th, followed at 5pm by the launch of Belgooly Festival 2026. The launch will include the introduction of The Belle of Belgooly, as well as music and a food truck at Coleman’s Bar.

On Thursday 13th, the festivities continue with Family Bingo at The Huntsman at 8pm. Doors open at 7.30pm, with eyes down at 8pm sharp. Tickets cost €10 per book.

Friday 14th will feature a Road Train collecting from the estates at 6.15pm, followed by a Kids Fancy Dress Disco at The Distillery from 7pm to 8pm. At 8.15pm, Mothers & Others will take place at Belgooly GAA, followed by open-air music in the village and Steam Engine at Coleman’s Bar.

Saturday 15th promises a particularly busy day, beginning at 10am with a GAA Underage Blitz, organised by Belgooly GAA. A Fun Colour Run will then take place at the GAA Grounds at 12 noon, followed by a Dog Show at The Distillery at 2pm.

The Funfair at the GAA Grounds will open at 4pm, while a two-day Soccer Tournament gets underway at 5pm. From 5pm to 6pm, Belgooly will host its Kids Got Talent competition at the GAA Grounds. Entry forms will be available at the stage and must be submitted before 4.30pm.

The evening will continue with Belgooly Bronco from 6pm to 7.30pm, followed by the Belgooly Water Party at 7.45pm. The day will finish with open-air music in the village from 9pm.

The festival continues on Sunday 16th, beginning with a Funfair and Family Picnic at the GAA Grounds at 1pm, followed by Family Sports at 2pm. At 4.30pm, the winner of The Belle of Belgooly will be announced, before the final of the Soccer Tournament at 5pm.

At 7pm, attention will turn to the village for the Duck Race, while the festival will officially close from 8pm until late at Coleman’s with DJ Seamus.

There will also be free face painting, airbrush and tattoo activities from 2.30pm to 4.30pm on Sunday.

Festival passes are available from Allen’s Shop, The Huntsman and Colemans Bar. A family weekend pass costs €30, while a three-day pass costs €20. Single-day passes are €10. The festival also highlights that most events are free, including the Fun Fair, with day or weekend passes.

For health and safety reasons, children cannot be dropped at the pitch and left unaccompanied. The organisers have also stated that only assistance dogs are permitted in the grounds.

With sport, music, competitions, family activities and community events filling the programme, the Belgooly Summer Festival promises a busy few days for the village and its visitors.
