Carrigaline Girl Cuts Hair For Charity

Carrigaline girl Darcy O’Regan recently did a sponsored 12″ hair cut to raise money for Marymount and she donated the cut hair to the Princess Trust for sick children who are in need of wigs.

Darcy O’Regan is 10 years old and wanted to do this to help boys and girls who were sick and then to raise money for Marymount.

Darcy’s grandad Arthur Depuis passed away in Marymount 2 years ago (October 6th) and Darcy wanted to help raise money for the wonderful staff so that they can continue to care and support other families.

Jennifer in Jen’s Hair Kreations donated her time and expertise in prepping and cutting the 12″ off Darcy’s hair and also sponsored her for every inch cut.

When Darcy started to raise money her goal was to raise between €200-€300.  The final total exceeded all our expectations – €1,150.00.

Darcy wishes to thank all who sponsored her over the last few weeks, their generosity was amazing.
