Carrigaline native publishes her debut novel

Writes Tara Maher

Carrigaline native, Gwen Lanigan-O’Keeffe (née Kiely) is proud to announce her debut novel - Bryn Jahr: Leap of Fate which is now available in Carrigaline Bookshop.

Bryn Jahr: Leap of Fate tells the story of a young man’s predestined journey from an isolated family farm in Yorkshire to a hidden, mysterious realm. There, following a family tradition, he partakes in a competition of endurance that unexpectedly becomes one of survival. Secrets unravel. Fates are intertwined. Nothing is what it seems.

Gwen told The Carrigdhoun that this compelling read will pique the interest of the teen and YA market.

Gwen Lanigan-O’Keeffe  currently lives in Kinsale with her husband, Alistair and 16 year old son, William. Her parents, Des and Maura, and some of her siblings still live in the Carrigaline area. The book is dedicated to her family, especially her younger brother, Conor ( Snow ), who sadly passed away last November.

Gwen believes that books can appeal to everyone and purposefully formatted her novel with short chapters with cliff hanger endings.

Bryn Jahr: Leap of Fate ( paperback edition)is also available in: Bookstór, Kinsale The Flying Poet, Kinsale Chalk and Easel, Ballinspittle.

Hardcover and ebook available on Amazon/KDP.
