Carrigaline Pipe Band set to compete in the World Championship in Glasgow

The acclaimed Carrigaline Pipe Band is poised to embark on an exciting journey to Glasgow this weekend, where they will proudly represent the local community at the highly anticipated Pipe Band World Championship. This prestigious international competition is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 15th, and Saturday, August 16th, promising a grand spectacle of musical talent and tradition.

The band's participation in this esteemed event is a testament to their exceptional skill and dedication, having secured their qualification through a series of remarkable victories. They achieved undisputed first-place finishes in the Leinster, Mid Ulster Championship, and the All-Ireland competition which took place in July in Derry. 

Established in 1946, the Carrigaline Pipe Band has woven itself into the very fabric of the Carrigaline community for nearly eight decades. Over this rich history, the band has cultivated a profound legacy built on the pillars of vibrant music, deep-seated camaraderie, and cherished tradition.
