Collins’ SuperValu attends gala event in Dublin.
There were smiles all around for Barry Collins’ SuperValu at The Clayton Hotel on Dublin’s Burlington Road on Friday, September 27th, where the National Q Mark Awards ceremony took place.
The gala event was a chance for all those nominated to celebrate the high standards they’d achieved in rigorous audits by EIQA, the proud guardians of the Q Mark suite of Quality standards. To make it onto the list, each enterprise had to earn a place in the top 6 per cent of the audits carried out across the island of Ireland.
This store that opened its doors in 1865 is now one of the largest supermarkets in the SuperValu group. Barry Collins’ SuperValu has earned an outstanding reputation in the local community and is determined to build on this.
It has also had a long history of success at the Q Mark awards over the last two decades. With food safety and hygiene at the top of the agenda, the Collins’ team believes a Q Mark nomination shows customers they continuously meet industry standards and raise the benchmark.
General Manager Glenn Leacy says a nomination for the Q Mark Awards brings a sense of pride to the entire team: “It recognises the hard work, dedication, creativity and innovation that allows us to achieve industry-leading standards and to continuously raise the bar for best practice. It helps to provide us with the drive and incentive to come up with innovative solutions that provide our customers with the best possible shopping experience.”
