Congratulations was extended at the monthly meeting of the county council’s Carrigaline Municipal District to Garda Damien Craven on his pending retirement.
It was proposed by Cllr Seamus McGrath (FF) who said he was a Community Garda who worked over and above the call of duty for around 20 years in the Carrigaline district and gave fantastic public service. He was also president of Carrigaline Lions Club and immersed himself in the local community in many ways.

An cathaoirleach Cllr Audrey Buckley (FF) seconded and Cllr Jack White (FG) seconding, said Gd Craven built up phenomenal relationships with people of Carrigaline and did tremendous work.
Cllr White proposed a vote of congratulations to Sabrina Levis-Morley on the opening of the Gourmet Pantry in Main Street, Carrigaline in what was formerly Hassett’s. There are also units in Riverstick and Kinsale.
He also congratulated Carrigaline Men’s Shed on its recent official opening saying it was a great organisation doing phenomenal work. Seconding, Cllr Buckley said the opening was an amazing day with a very big attendance. Cllr McGrath concurred.
