Crosshaven RFC Push For Promotion Writes Jack White Crosshaven’s J1’s recorded another comprehensive league victory on Sunday, running out 39-0 winners over Bantry RFC in Myrtleville Cross. With Crosshaven lying second in the league table and the top two teams being promoted, the victory boosts Crosshaven’s promotion hopes significantly before playing Fermoy in what will be a promotion decider on February 28th in Myrtleville Cross. There were impressive performances across the team with some of the youngest players, Stephen Curran, Luke O’Mahony and Eoin Donworth being amongst the standout players. The J1’s have a free weekend upcoming. Huge thanks goes to all who supported the team on Sunday, Jonathan and Fergal in the bar, Ciara, Savanna, Peter and Graham for the food and everyone else who made the day an enjoyable one. The J3’s continue their league campaign on Sunday at 12pm in Myrtleville Cross, taking on Sundays Well. This is Phase 2 of the J3 league, with Crosshaven already having won Phase 1. The U18’s had a good win on Saturday as they defeated Thurles 10-7 in Myrtleville Cross. Both the U14 and U16 games at the weekend were cancelled on Saturday.
