Writes Jack White Having made a huge impact for Crosshaven RFC from 2006 to 2012, Jake returned to Samoa in late Summer of 2012 and went on to accumulate caps for both Samoa A and the Samoa senior team, before receiving the exciting news of his World Cup inclusion this week. Crosshaven RFC enjoyed huge success during the period in which Jake played at the club, including winning the Munster Junior 1 Division 1 League in 2007 and the All Ireland Junior Cup in 2011, a team in which Darren O’Shea of premiership side, Worcester Warriors also featured. Jake is set to mix it amongst the best players in the world at the tournament with Samoa’s group including South Africa, Scotland, Japan and the US. On arrival in Crosshaven RFC, Jake’s massive ball carrying ability along with strong scrummaging, made him an instantly popular player, though it was his friendly nature and constant smile that will see him fondly remembered in Crosshaven RFC and indeed the wider community. Crosshaven RFC will be showing a wide range of RWC15 matches at the club and will make a special effort to make Samoa their second team after Ireland. All the best Jake.
