DEFIB Coffee, the newest place for speciality coffee in Crosshaven, has recently opened in the carpark at the start of the Crosshaven Railway Walk – adjacent to the Royal Cork Yacht Club.

Owner Michelle opened for business on the 1st of February, St. Bridget’s Day & Michelle’s 27th birthday, and has enjoyed a busy couple of weeks of trade since.

The Name?

DEFIB - because a shot of coffee gives your heart a burst of energy. With the name being a good fit, Michelle has decided to invest in fixing a Defibrillator to the coffee trailer in the coming months - doing her bit for the community.

Why A Coffee Trailer?

Michelle says, "My partner & I got back from Australia in August and I wanted to run my own business. So, after experiencing the coffee culture in Australia, a café start-up came to mind and what better way to do that than bring that culture to Crosshaven. This might only be the start for us."

How Did The First Couple Of Week’s Go?

We had a great first week trading. I thought it might take a few weeks to get busy but it’s been busy since we opened, especially the long weekend.

We have to thank our friends, family, the locals & everyone that took a chance on our coffee. The support has been amazing.
