Gourmet Pantry - Taste The Difference

Since opening for business in December 2016, Kinsale’s Gourmet Pantry has established itself as the number 1 deli in the area. In recent months a substantial makeover has seen partners Executive Chef Sabrina Levis Morley and Padraig O’Sullivan, who is well known in Cork business circles, strive to further cater for their customers’ discerning needs.

Sabrina is widely traveled, having spent quite a bit of time in Australia, and therefore brings an International flavour to the Gourmet Pantry brand. Having recently secured three Blás na hEireann awards, including the coveted Gold award for their chicken liver pâté, Sabrina and her team, who are trained in house by Sabrina herself, can be justifiably proud of what’s on offer.

Whether it’s a freshly prepared sandwich or roll, a selection of bread still warm from the oven, some delicious pastries or cakes, pâtés, preserves, salads, takeaway plates in compostable packaging, teas and coffees, wine, ready meals, chocolates, charcuterie, wines, delicious nibbles from the four corners of the globe – whatever you’re looking for you’ll find it at the Gourmet Pantry. The attention to quality and detail is breathtaking.

For instance the cooked ham is prepared instore to an old family recipe and you can tell it’s the real thing! We dropped in on a Friday morning and the deli was a hive of activity as a steady stream of regular customers were joined by a surprising number of out of season tourists who eagerly snapped up some of the delicious treats on offer.

The catering service available at the Gourmet Pantry has become extremely popular in recent years. For Corporate Events, everything from weddings to funerals and all in between, customers can choose from a varied menu, which can be tailored specifically to suit your private event. Sabrina and her team are always happy to fulfill any special dietary requirements you might have, and, endeavour to provide a top-class catering service at an affordable price.

They offer a range of services to look after the catering of your private event including a food-only service, delivery and they can provide a full service with staff also. A newly opened production kitchen in Riverstick, which employs 12 staff, produces a lot of the food for the catering menu, as well as the aforementioned ready meals. Particularly popular is the Paella Party, where you can have an enormous paella freshly cooked at your location and Sabrina reports that this goes down a storm the day following a wedding and is a great way to keep the party going!

Sabrina, a Carrigaline native who now lives in Passage West, is mother to three-year-old twins Isabelle and Zara and is delighted with the success of the Gourmet Pantry. Over recent years she has built up a huge customer base and describes her business ethos as being willing to go the extra mile for her clients.
