Homeless Drive Seeking New Unit
Homeless Drive, the group of volunteers helping Cork’s homeless, are seeking a new unit, so they can continue their good work.
Established by Carrigaline man Finbarr Spillane, Homeless Drive has been operating out of a unit in Kilnagleary Industrial Estate where they collect and store provisions before driving to Cork City to distribute food, clothes, sanitary items etc. to homeless people.
Finbarr says, “Use of our current unit will come to an end at the end of March. Without a new unit, our last run will be on March 24th”. He continued, “We need a new unit to keep going, we are willing to pay rent if necessary and we are also fully insured for public liability”.
If you have a unit you can give to Homeless Drive, or can help in any way, you can contact the Homeless Drive Facebook Group.
