Aoife O’Donovan, who is a granddaughter of the late Joan O’Donovan (nee Crowley), picked up a Grammy on Sunday night last. A member of the group: I’m with Her, they secured the award for the Best American Roots song. Aoife’s cousin Pat Crowley is also a very accomplished musician, having played with Mary Black, Christy Moore and many other notable artists. Aoife’s cousins in Kinsale, Sarah and Carole O’Brien run the OHK cafè in the Glen, a building where Joan grow up before moving to Clonakilty
