Kinsale & District Lions Club Budget Breakfast Briefing – Top Experts to Analyse Budget 2026

The Kinsale & District Lions Club is delighted to announce the return of its highly anticipated flagship fundraising event, the Budget Breakfast Briefing 2026. Set to take place on Thursday, October 9th, 2025, at the Kinsale Hotel & Spa, this year's briefing promises timely insights just 48 hours after Budget 2026 is unveiled in the Dáil.
In proud partnership with Chartered Accountants Ireland Cork Society, the event is a unique opportunity for local businesses, community groups, organizations, and civic leaders to come together for professional analysis and charitable action. Last year's Breakfast Briefing was a sell-out success, marking a significant fundraising achievement for local causes and cementing its place as a major annual event in the Kinsale calendar. This year, interest is already exceptionally high.

Attendees will benefit from expert analysis from two distinguished keynote speakers:
Jim Power – Economist, Author & Broadcaster: A renowned economist with a Master of Economic Science from University College Dublin, Jim Power has held senior roles at AIB Group, Bank of Ireland Group Treasury, and Friends First Group. He advises parliamentary committees, lectures at UCD Smurfit Graduate School of Business, and is a frequent contributor to leading media outlets.
Minister Jack Chambers TD – Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform & Digitalisation: As a TD for Dublin West, Minister Chambers has a distinguished political career, previously serving as Minister for Finance and Government Chief Whip. Funds raised from the Budget Breakfast Briefing will directly benefit: The Paediatric Emergency & Childhood Cancer Unit at Cork University Hospital (CUH), via the CUH Charity, local charities, families in need, and various community projects.
