The young second row’s return home has been widely welcomed by supporters of Munster Rugby and of course by his friends and family in the wider Crosshaven area.

O’Shea, who has signed a two year contract with Munster, gained valuable playing experience with Worcester through their Championship winning campaign last season and the premiership and Challenge Cup efforts this season. Previous to joining Worcester, Darren was a member of the Munster Rugby Academy. Munster Head Coach Anthony Foley has welcomed the signing of O’Shea, saying he hopes the experience gained with Worcester will stand to benefit the province in the next two seasons. Darren came through the renowned under-age system at Crosshaven RFC before going on to play on the club’s J1 side, ultimately being part of the 2011 All Ireland Junior Cup winning side. Following on from his time at Crosshaven, Darren had a brief spell at Cork Constitution before going on to ply his trade with Dolphin RFC and the Munster Rugby academy, before leaving for Worcester in 2014. Darren will arrive at Munster ahead of the 2016/2017 season.
