Permanent TSB have warned customers about a new scam in operation which is asking people for their security information.
The bank - which has an outlet on Main Street in the heart of Carrigaline - issued a statement on social media warning people of the scam.
They told customers that they will never ask for security credentials in an advertisement and that any unsolicited contact looking for information on your account should be treated as highly suspicious.
In a statement, the bank said: "Customers, please be wary of any online advertisements requesting your security credentials. You can check out our tips on how to avoid fraud or scams here. Please remain vigilant at all times."
