Preparations Continue for the Opening of Edmund Rice College, Carrigaline The Board of Management of Edmund Rice College, Carrigaline welcomes the recent positive planning decision made by Cork County Council with regard to the planning application for the school submitted by the Minister for Education and Skills. The final grant of planning permission is expected to be issued in early March and the Board understands that the Department of Education and Skills is in a position to have the contractor begin work on site very soon after this with a completion date of Spring 2017. The schedule of temporary accommodation for the school has been agreed between the Board and the Department and a full range of subjects will be offered to students. The Board looks forward to opening the doors to the school’s temporary accommodation and welcoming the first students in September 2016.
