Staff, parents and pupils of Scoil Mhuire Lourdes, Carrigaline recently bid farewell to their much- loved & cherished lollipop lady, Mary Warren.
Mary retired having spent 23 happy years carefully guiding children safely across the busy road at the Infant Boys’ School.
Mary endeared herself to all members of the school community and undertook her daily duties with a smile on her face. She was always punctual, kind and reliable and all the staff and parents thank her for her devotion to looking after the children.
A well-deserved presentation was held on Friday in the Infant school when staff, parents and pupils said a final tearful farewell to their trusted and devoted friend. Mary received bunches of flowers, numerous lollipop cards made by the children and a special framed presentation from the school as a token of appreciation.
We will all miss you Mary… Ní bheidh do leithéid ann arís.
