Templebreedy Christmas Fayre returns

Templebreedy Christmas Fayre has marked the beginning of the Christmas season for the residents of Crosshaven for many years, providing a wonderful sense of excitement and fun for the village. Every year the Fayre takes place on the last Saturday in November, and is now a finely oiled machine - come rain or shine it is always a great day out.

The stalls are all stocked and run by volunteers, generating an amazing feel good factor to the experience. Over the years the fayre has expanded to establish a large number of stalls including the traditional Cakes, Crafts and Country Produce providing all homemade and handmade treasures lovingly made by local families. There are several stalls especially for children including childrens’ crafts, the sweet stall, face painting, the waffle stall, the games stall, the lucky dip treasure trove and the much loved childrens’ toys and books stall.

In more recent years there have been several additions to the original stalls – these include the  Christmas tree stall – where you can choose  your Christmas tree to buy, and have it delivered to your home later the same day. Free delivery!

The water or wine stall, where you get to use your powers of observation or nerves of steel to guess which wrapped bottle is wine, rather than the less alluring Templebreedy tap water. The re-gifting stall – a wonderful addition, where you can pick up superb gift items and stocking fillers at bargain prices, similarly at the Christmas jumper stall you will discover a delightful, “good as new”

selection of Christmas jumpers for a fraction of the price.

The Fayre is renowned for its great food stalls. The artisan food and gluten free stall offers a great opportunity to pick up some tasty homemade meals for the freezer or speciality coeliac items. A visit to the Fayre is not complete without dropping in to the Jingle Bells café, for a cup of tea or coffee and a large selection of sandwiches, cakes and cookies.

Other refreshments on offer include waffles, mulled wine, hot dogs and hot chocolate.

One of the  highlights of the afternoon is the amazing raffle, with its first prize of a Blue Book Voucher, and several other beautiful prizes of hampers, vouchers etc.

Do come along and soak up the atmosphere, further enhanced by live music, chatter and fun.

All the fun of the Fayre – see you there!!!! Saturday 30th November from 1-4pm.
