Writes Tara Maher

The Good Dairy Company from Nohoval, were recently announced as one of five homegrown businesses among this year’s Grow with ALDI finalists and will see their product stocked in ALDI stores. The Good Dairy Company is a family business whipping up handmade artisan Ice Cream using milk and cream produced by their purebred Friesian cows in Nohoval.

Catherine Good of The Good Dairy Company said “Our business is a true family-run enterprise. My husband is a fourth-generation farmer who milks our pedigree Friesian cows while I focus on creating our signature rich, fresh, creamy ice-cream. Our four young children are also heavily involved, assisting with everything from milking cows to bringing our ice-cream to local stockists. For ALDI to back our small labour of love means everything to us and we can’t wait to bring our ice-cream to stores across Ireland.”
