Grace Hughes from Myrtleville was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when she was a child, and has spent most of her life attending a clinic in Cork’s University Hospital.
To give back to the healthcare professionals and Cystic Fibrosis Ireland who have played a crucial role in managing her condition, Grace is organising a Christmas Day swim to help raise for the charity which is ver close to her and her family's heart.

“I am so grateful for the impact the CF clinic in the CUH and Cystic Fibrosis Ireland (CF Ireland) has had on the lives of CF patients and our families. This Christmas, I want to give back; so, I’ve decided to do a Christmas Day swim in aid of CF Ireland.” Grace wrote on her JustGiving fundraiser page.
Grace is inviting everyone to Myrtleville beach at 10:30 Christmas morning.
“Any donation, no matter how small, makes a significant impact. Your generosity will allow CF Ireland to continue their mission of improving the lives of CF patients and families, ensuring that we can live fulfilling lives” Grace continued.
