Crosshaven RFC News

Crosshaven’s J3’s celebrated on Sunday following their 12-9 Tait Cup Final victory over UCC at the Mardyke. In what was a fast paced and physical encounter, Crosshaven showed good tenacity to stay in touch despite some handling errors and losing some key players to injury.

A strong performance from the pack saw Crosshaven barrel over the try-line twice in the game, with one conversion to UCC’s three penalties. Up front William Condon played well for Crosshaven whilst in the backline Nicholas O’Leary, Olan Quinlan and Dean Crowley made strong contributions. The J3’s will face Bandon at 12p.m on Sunday in the McCarthy Cup Semi Final, in Myrtleville Cross. The U16’s lost out to Dunmanway in the Development League Semi-Final on Saturday. The now face Cobh in the U16 Development Plate on Thursday evening, a 7:30pm kickoff in Cobh. There will be a players meeting hosted by Frank Murphy and Moss Barry at 7p.m on Friday in the clubhouse.
