Shamrocks GAA Club Medal Presentation

The Shamrocks Minors received three sets of medals at a presentation night held in the Ferryboat Inn, Ringaskiddy, marking yet another very successful year for the team and for the Shamrocks GAA Club. John Twomey, Chairman Shamrocks GAA Under Age, remarked that this particular team have proved to be very successful in recent years, from capturing the John Kerins trophy back in the Under 11’s some years ago to capturing no less than 11 major trophies since 2014, making it one of the most successful teams in the club’s history. He went on to thank everyone connected with the team over the past year which won the East Cork Football League and East Cork League and Championship double in hurling. These included parents, supporters and the players but to the background coaching team of Peter Crowley, Dick Andrews, David Nolan and Kevin O’Grady who were also honoured during the evening for their commitment and dedication to the Minor teams. Grateful thanks were also expressed to Sarah O’Grady and the staff of the Ferryboat Inn for their support over the past year.
